Mark Schuester subbing for Keith Olberman on Countdown has just reported that the Senate race in Alaska has been called for Anchorage Mayor Mark Begich. Senator Ted Stevens, known as "Uncle Ted" to Alaska, has been unseated, and the Democratic Majority has grown stronger (even as they gut themselves over Lieberman).
This is good news for the Senate and for Alaska, as we will be spared Senator Sarah Palin.
Now hopefully Franken can win.
