Colbert Report Takes Glenn Beck

Stephen Colbert did a hysterical parody of the Glenn Beck Show last night. Colbert nailed such
segments like the "GLENN BECK WAR ROOM" where he and his guests "game out" a bunch of doomy scenarios. If you have not seen them you should check it out. Seriously my question to Fox is, did they know what a complete loon they were hiring. Beck was an idiot on CNN's
Headline News, but at Fox News Beck has gone INSANE.

Colbert Nation - A Debate on the Stimulus

James Surowiecki of the New York Times went on the Stephan Colbert show recently to discuss the stimulus debate. During the discussion he said that Democrats are using the financial crisis to push through programs that are in the long-term interest of Americans.

It is too bad we have to go to a comedy show for this discussion.

Colbert & Stewart Covering Election Night

I missed this the other night, and I am trying to catch up on my Daily Show and Colbert report (you have to love the internet) and finally saw how Jon Stewart and Stephan Colbert covered the announcement of Barack Obama winning the election.

If you missed it too, watch it here:

Colbert vs. Maddow

Stephen Colbert hosted MSNBC's Rachel Maddow on his show this week, in a very funny segment. She is the hottest new host on television and immediately started being competitive with her; at one point asking her, "How many Peabodys do you have?"

He then gave her some patented Bill O'Reilly advice, very funny.

As for Rachel, she came in more as the Air America version over the more corporate MSNBC version. She was in sneakers and thick glasses, and was typically self-effacing - especially when Colbert brought up her pal and MSNBC mentor, Keith Olbermann, whom she called the "King of Cable," and also confirmed that he is not, in fact, a chicken.

She went toe to toe and brought up some good points.
