Change We Can Believe In

In a great sign of the change that is coming, President-elect Barack Obama has shown over the past few days that he has the ability to hear critiscm, and can change. For example Obama had heard widespread Democratic skepticism over his suggested tax cuts as part of the stimulus package. Now President-elect Barack Obama will drop his bid to offer a $3,000-per-job business tax credit in his stimulus proposal.

Senator Tom Harkin had called the tax cuts an ineffective "trickle-down" measure, and Senator John Kerry said he’d prefer to invest in infrastructure and energy, the "kinds of things that much more directly, much more rapidly and much more certainly create a real job."
